The 4GEON project   this   promoting geoeducation in the Colca Geopark and Andagua Volcanoes, Peru, a site designated as a UNESCO Global Geopark. As part of the guidelines of this organization, the implementation of educational activities with the local population at various levels is encouraged, integrating knowledge about the natural and cultural heritage of the area.

The Colca and Andagua Volcanoes Geopark, located in the Arequipa region of Peru, is an area of great natural and cultural wealth, covering more than 6 thousand kilometers, situated between 21 districts of the provinces of Caylloma and Castilla. This Geopark is recognized for its impressive geology, which includes volcanoes, canyons and unique rock formations, but it is also home to a great diversity of flora and fauna that make it a place of great interest for conservation and scientific study.

In the heart of the Peruvian Andes lies the Colca and Volcanoes Global Geopark.   Andagua, a unique region characterized by extraordinary geological diversity and a rich cultural heritage recognized for its scientific, aesthetic and cultural value, this natural space represents a unique opportunity to implement geological training strategies that contribute to the sustainable development of the region, where the 4GEON project is being implemented.
